Thomas “Tom” Charles Lizzi passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022 at the age of 87. Tom was born on April 1, 1935 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Thomas Joseph and Margaret Mary (Haringer) Lizzi. Tom attended South Bend Central High School and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Business degree. He also served as a member of the United States Air Force. Tom was a dedicated and loyal worker in the mobile home industry for over 45 years. He began his career with Skyline Corp. working in various management positions and then retiring from Holly Park as its President. Tom was an original member of Knollwood Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and having coffee with his friends on the weekends. He could also be found supporting his grandchildren’s many sporting and performing arts events over the years. Tom married Alyce Joan Peterson on May 29, 1959, she survives. Also surviving are their children, Christopher Lizzi and Karen (Chris) Cason; brother, Samuel; grandchildren: Anthony (Ashley), Thomas (Samantha) and Tyler (Brittany) Lizzi, Molly, Ryan and Carly Cason; and two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Benjamin Lizzi. The family would like to express their gratitude to the care given by StoryPoint Senior Living Center, Fresenius Kidney Care and Nephrology of Mishawaka, and Dr. Christopher Quinn. Per Tom’s wishes cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
