SOUTH BEND - Eugenia (Jeanny) L. Bucholtz, 88, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Jeanny was born January 8, 1929 in South Bend. On February 4, 1950 Jeanny married her loving husband, Edwin (Buzzy) Bucholtz, who preceded her in death on July 20, 2011. Survivors of Jeanny include a son, John (Patti) Bucholtz; and a daughter, Diane (Don) Hanyzewski; grandchildren, Ryan (Jen) Hanyzewski, Kyle (Jessica) Hanyzewski, Kelly (Brad) Fasnacht, Christopher Bucholtz, Jason (Erica) Bucholtz and Nicholas Bucholtz; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Maddie, Grace, Evan (Hanyzewski), Sam, Jake and Molly (Bucholtz); and a brother, Emil M. (Sheila) Klosinski. Jeanny was a graduate of South Bend Catholic High School. She retired from the University of Notre Dame in Catering Services. Jeanny was member of St. Adalbert Sisters Auxiliary. She was a very doting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very proud that “no one left her house hungry”. The family wishes to offer a special thank you for all the help Marilyn Sullivan and Bobbie Klimek provided to our mom. Visitation for Jeanny will be 4:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
