SOUTH BEND - Guy Henry Kubiak, 49, passed away at 8:20 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at home. He was born on July 4, 1966, in South Bend, IN, to Guy Kubiak and Beverly Bartell Kubiak Steele. Guy is survived by his lifelong companion and wife, Angie; his mother, Beverly Steele of South Bend; four daughters, Tina Lifke and Shannon Banks, both of South Bend, Brittany Olszewski and Nikki Kubiak, both of Fayetteville, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren; and his sister, Brenda (Alfredo) Tenoreo of Matthews, North Carolina; and three brothers, Ronald (Melanie) St. Germain of Elkhart, Sean Kubiak of South Bend and Brian (Taryn D'Esterre) Dawson of Monroe, North Carolina. His father, Guy Kubiak, and his brother, Dennis St. Germain, both preceded him in death. Guy was a carpet layer for 33 years. He enjoyed playing his guitars, and greatly enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to fish, camp and hike. He loved to travel. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Hilltop Lutheran Church, 4114 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN. Pastor David Russell will officiate. A celebration of Guy's life will also be held on July 3, 2016. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend, is assisting the family with arrangements.
