SOUTH BEND - Pat Salata, 69, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, at Magnolia Village at 6:05 am. Pat was born July 19, 1944, in South Bend, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Jenny Martin Lefevere, and a brother, Larry Lefevere. Pat was a retired group manager from Indiana Bell and member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1963, and on April 11, 1964, she married Bob Salata. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2014. Pat was an avid quilter and loved to spend her spare time quilting at home, at Heart to Heart when in Florida, as well as with the Holy Spirit Catholic Church quilting group when in Bowling Green, KY. Survivors include her husband, Bob Salata; two sons, Robert Salata (Sharon) of Bowling Green and Ronald Salata (Laura) of Avon, IN. Also four grandchildren, Alex and Amanda of Bowling Green, and Luke and Ethan of Avon, IN. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 10:30 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 pm in the Pentecost Room of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church Quilters Group, 4754 Smallhouse Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42104. Arrangements have be entrusted to the care of J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, 820 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42103.
