Richard Hugo Cenkush Sr., 730 S. Columbia St. died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday in his residence after being ill three months. He was born in South Bend Oct 6, 1876. On Jan. 20, 1900, he married Edith Schultz in South Bend. Mr. Cenkush was a spring maker for the former Studebaker Corp. retiring 15 years ago. Surviving are his widow; three sons, Otto and Paul of South Bend, and George of Mishawaka; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Orvis Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Lynn Henry, p0astor of First Evangelical United Brethren Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Published in the South Bend Tribune, Thursday May 29, 1958.
