MISHAWAKA, IN - Terrance Leon Magnuson Sr., 79, of Miskawaka, IN passed away on March 2, 2021 in his home. He was born to the late Victor Eugene and Maxine (Hosler) Magnuson on May 5, 1941 in Mishawaka, IN. He grew up in South Bend and Mishawaka, and spent many of his summers in Lapaz with his Uncle Carl and cousins which meant a lot to him. He graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1960 and joined the U.S. Navy. On April 27 1963, he married Carolyn Peters at Milburn Boulevard (Mishawaka) Church of God. Terry worked at Wheelabrator-Frye in Mishawaka and Rx Honing Machine Corp., where he was Vice President. Terry was a member of the Mishawaka Church of God Ireland Rd. (formally Milburn Blvd.). He was a member of the Pastors Council and a former Family Training Hour Director. One of Terry's favorite things to do was go to the Magnuson Family Reunion, held every year since 1983. He has made most all of them. He loved Notre Dame, the Bears, and the White Sox. He was a wonderful father and an awesome Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Carolyn; three sons, Terry Jr., Doug (Beth), and Donald (Amanda) Magnuson; his daughter, Cathy (Ross) Kaleolani; his brother, Robert (Linda) Magnuson; his sister, Vicki (Robert) Watson; and eight grandchildren: Courtney (Andy) Gomaz, Zachary Magnuson, Aaron Magnuson, Logan Albright, Kaylie Albright, Kyler Magnuson, Brianna and Briella Magnuson. Services for Terry will be Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561.
