Mishawaka - Mr. Walter R. "Junior" Nicely, 90, passed away at his residence in Mishawaka, IN in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Walter was born on September 25, 1931 in South Bend, IN to the late Walter Jr. and Gizella (Becsei) Nicely.Walter was a life-long resident of Michiana and worked in maintenance at Christ Temple Church. He was a member of Apostolic Tabernacle in Benton Harbor, MI and was a beloved son, brother, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Walter is survived by his sister-in-law, Joyce Nicely of Mishawaka; two half-brothers, David Nicely and Danny Nicely; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Murray, and two brothers, Richard E. Nicely and Virgil J. Nicely. Services for Mr. Walter R. "Junior" Nicely will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Homes - West Chapel, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may call on the family for visitation from 11:30 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Michael McKinnies II will officiate. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
