Obituary: Sarah G. Hickey
The South Bend Tribune July 20, 1925

Apr. 1, 1860 - July 20, 1925

Mrs. Sarah G. Hickey, age 65, of 912 N. Lawrence Street, died this morning after one year's illness from pernicious anemia. She was born in Niles, Mich. April 1, 1860 and came here from Niles 42 years ago. She was married to Louis A. Hickey at St. Joseph Catholic Church, May 30, 1883. Mr Hickey died 15 years ago. She is survived by the following children; Mrs. A. JJ. Heaton, Thomas L. Hickey, Warren Hickey, Marvin Hickey, Miss Geveva Hickey, and Mrs. Ross Avery, all of South Bend and two sisters, Mrs. William Turnock, Sr. of South Bend, Mrs. Elmer Whalen of Niles, and one brother, Thomas Flynn of Niles. The body may be viewed at the residence until the hour of the funeral, which will be Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Rev William Lennartz will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. She was a member of the Altar Society of the church.
