Mrs. Eva M. HEISER, 88, R.R. 2, Culver, died Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Miller Merry Manor nursing home, Plymouth. She was in failing health the past year.
Born March 25, 1887 to George and Emma JOHNSON DAVIS, Mrs. Heiser lived her entire life in the Culver area. Her marriage was on May 29, 1912 in Culver to Joseph D. HEISER, who died Oct. 15, 1945. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. Mrs. Heiser was a charter member of the Marshall County Farm Bureau and the Home Demonstration club and a member and past-president of the Marshall county and Union township chapters of WCTU. Surviving are two sons, Joseph D. HEISER, Plymouth, and David E. HEISER, Culver; one daughter, Mrs. Erma R. SLONAKER, Plymouth, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding in death were one son, two step-sons, four brothers and four sisters. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel United Methodist church with the Rev. Maurice KESSLER officiating. Burial will be in the Burr Oak cemetery. Friends may call at the Bonine funeral home, Culver, until noon Saturday and at the church prior to services. Memorials may be made to the church or the Heart Fund.
