SOUTH BEND - Irene V. Nemeth, 95, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, in Healthwin. Irene was born November 29, 1917, to the late John and Josephine (Wolter) Cwidek. Irene was also preceded in death by sisters, Marie, Lillian and Clara; brothers, Leo, Walter, Clem, Al and Ted; and grandson, William Lochmondy Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Carol (William) Lochmondy; grandchildren, Bryan (Barbara) Lochmondy, Dennis, Kim and Brenda Schrock; great-grandchildren, William, Robert, Julie (Landon) and Amy (Tim); and great-great-grandchildren, Emily and Parker. In 1985 Irene retired from St. Joseph Medical Center after 15 years of service; she was also employed with Wilson Brothers. Irene was a parishioner of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, and she loved to play Bingo. The family wishes to express a "Thank You" to the nurses and aides at Heathwin. Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
