Carol A Podemski, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving husband and nurse. Carol was born on March 2, 1942 in South Bend, to the late Felix and Irene Opaczewski. Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Keith Podemski. Left to cherish the memory of Carol is her loving husband, Thomas Podemski; and sisters, Barb Fisette, and Cindy (Gary) Shindledecker. Carol was co-owner of Carothers Printing working alongside her husband Tom. She enjoyed Mustangs - especially her ’89 Mustang convertible and attending car shows. Carol loved gardening and working in her yard. Her yard was her pride and joy and it had to be perfect at all times. Most of all, Carol loved her family. Carol was loved by many and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the Learning Center and Promedica Hospice for their excellent care and service towards Carol. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 13, 2023 in St. Casimir Catholic Church, 1302 W Dunham St. Services will be ending at the church. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at sjfh.net.
