South Bend - Michael J. Lutomski, Sr., 87, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Mike was born September 4, 1933 in South Bend to the late Michael and Mary (Chrzan) Lutomski. He is preceded in death by a grandson, David "DJ" Alan Lutomski, Jr. Left to cherish the memory of Mike is his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara (Lanchsweerdt) Lutomski; along with their children, Mike (Teena) Lutomski, Jr., Tom (Diane) Lutomski, Debbie (Jack) Spillman, Steve (Janet) Lutomski, Kathie (Scott Rivers) Lutomski, David (Sheila Swanson) Lutomski, Sue (Dave) Dull, and Barbie (Dean) Ernsperger; 16 grandchildren, Jaymie (Brandon) Paternoster, Michael (Sarah) Lutomski, Brian (Abby) Lutomski, Kate Lutomski, James (Amanda) Spillman, Megan (Aaron) Fitz, Jennifer (Jeff) Hansel, Jessica (Keith) Gilpatrick, Sarah (Dustin) Weber, Austin Adkins, Angie Adkins, Amber (Dean) Newell, Max Lutomski, Dean Ernsperger, Maci Ernsperger, Riley Ernsperger; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister, Mildred Woltman. Mike retired from Raco in 2002. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Mike enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music, watching Chicago Bears football, and working in his vegetable garden. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, and his dogs Dizzy & Daisy. Visitation will be 3-7pm Friday, May 7, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
