NILES - Mildred G. Stowe, 98, formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday, May 15, in Riveridge Manor, Niles. She retired from Valley American Bank in 1972. She married Henry B. Froning, who died in 1960; then married Leslie Stowe, who died in 1975. She is survived by a stepson, Henry B. (Constance) Froning Jr. of Granger; a nephew, Frank Lucas of Elkhart; and two grandchildren. Private services and entombment will take place at Highland Mausoleum, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, is assisting the family with arrangements.
