Mishawaka - Chesterine C. Wesolowski, 90, passed away at 12:45am on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in her residence. Chesterine was born on July 19, 1919 in South Bend to Valentine and Josephine (Petrowiak) Suski. On September 16, 1939 in Granger, Chesterine married Edward Joseph Wesolowski and he passed away on March 28, 1969. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Chesterine is survived by daughters, Joan Wesolowski of Mishawaka, and Debbie (Carlos) Robles of Elkhart; son, Pat (Alice) Wesolowski of Ellettsville, IN; grandchildren, Dawn Baldwin, Todd LaPierre, Alison Provan, Patrick Wesolowski, Jr., and Marc Maloney; and nine great-grandchildren. Chesterine was a parishioner at Queen of Peace Catholic Church and was involved with the Women's Association, Golden Clusters, and Grandmother's Club and St. Pius Catholic Church. She worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Bendix during World War II, the Corby Hall Snack Bar at the University of Notre Dame, and prior to that she and her husband ran the family farm. She was a Milton Township Trustee in Cass County, MI. She loved to cook and to bake and most of all she loved to spend time with her family. Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Rd., where Rosary will be prayed at 2:00pm and 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637.
