South Bend - Marika P. "Mary" Karras, 84, of 270 E. David St., died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Marika P. Kakoulieis Karras was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Samsum, Turkey, and had lived in South Bend since 1932, coming from Pireaus, Greece. On Jan. 10, 1932, in Pireaus, she married Pete J. Karras, who died in 1985. She is survived by a son, J. George of South Bend; a niece, Mary Shaia of South Bend; a nephew, Andrew Karras of Raleigh, N.C.; and a brother, Aleko Kakoulieis of Pireaus.
