Harry Horka, 84, died early today in the home of his niece, Miss Monica Horka, 806 E. La Salle Ave., with whelm he had resided for six years. He was born in Poland on Aug. 27, 1876, and came to South Bend at the age of 19.
He was in the retail grocery and meat business in South Bend for many years at the corner of Johnson St. and Lincoln Way W. In 1896 he married Anna Taberski who died the following year. In 1904 he married Grace Hitchcock, who died in 1946.He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being made by the St. Joseph Funeral Home.
He was a member of the Knights of Pythias.
