SOUTH BEND - Gertrude F. Bujeker, 85, passed away at 8:21 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the Sanctuary at St. Joseph Care Center in South Bend. Gertrude was born on April 11, 1925 to the late Roman and Josephine (Kazmierczak) Kopinski. On October 2, 1943, she married Thomas J. Bujeker in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church; her preceded her in death on May 20, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Martin Kopinski, and her son, Robert Bujeker. She is survived by her son, Thomas, and grandsons, Damien and Evan Bujeker. Gertrude retired from White Farm Equipment Co., working in the office. She enjoyed playing golf and gardening. She was also fond of her Visiting Nurse, Kelli and bath aid, Terry. A special thanks to the Visiting Nurses Association and the staff at the Sanctuary at St. Joseph Care Center who did so much in Mom's care to make her feel more comfortable. A Memorial Mass in Celebration of Gertrude's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 415 N. Brookfield St., South Bend. Burial will be private. The Elkhart Cremation Service, Elkhart, IN has been entrusted with the arrangements.
