I found the family you are looking for in Indianapolis in 1900. Mary J. had 6 kids with 3 living - only 2 in the home - Thomas b. 1/1883 and Josephine b. 7/1888. Father and son were laborers at the pork house. Lived at 1022 West St. Both Mary and Thomas were born in March. My Hogan family did'nt live too far away on Maryland Street. I don't know how the families were related. My family came in 1880 and went first to Chicago - Indy about 1899 and my elder Thomas died in 1903. There were no stories passed down about relation. Its all a mystery to me. I do have Hogan family still in Indy which have nothing to offer about the history either.

1910 - Thomas and Mary J. married 37 years still in Indy. he was an inspector at the box factory - looks like possisble same address at 1022-or maybe 1026 South West Rd.

Thomas L. and Hazel in Southbend renting at 610 Vistula Ave. Lucille -6 and twins John and Thomas 4. Thomas reported that his parents were both born in Germany....he worked as a bookkeeper at the automobile factory.

1920: Thomas and Mary J. owned 1026 (same address) South West St. in Indy - rented three other units in same building to other families. Thomas arrived in 1869 - mary J. in either 1864 or 1869.

Thomas and Hazel renting at 708 LIndsey St. in portage Twp. South Bend - one more child added - 3 1/2 year old George. Lucille was a student in High school. He noted his parents were born in Ireland. He was an assistant manager in the cost department at auto factory.

1930 Thomas L. and Hazel D. at 1037 Cudson Avenue. Four children in home - Son John not in home. Lucille, Thomas L. and George E. in home with Rosemary age 2 1/2 added. Can't tell if it says Thomas Jr. was married or widowed. Married at 21 - wife not in home. Thomas the father was an accountant at the auto factory; Lucille was a bookkeeper at the autofactory and Thomas L. was a general practice attorney. They were renting for 65/month.
