SOUTH BEND - Patricia A. Lewandowski, 68, passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2010, in Sanctuary at Holy Cross. Patricia was born on March 8, 1942, in South Bend, to the late Joseph and Jane (Petrowski) Jerzakowski. On September 23, 1961, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, she married Matthew Lewandowski, who passed away on September 21, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew M. Lewandowski, and by her brother, Joseph Jerzakowski. She is survived by her son, Matthew (Jennifer) Lewandowski of South Bend; three grandchildren, Payton, Tyler and Sydney Lewandowski; and by her two sisters, Janice (John) Dack of South Bend and Marcia (Don) Fuller of Mishawaka. Patricia was a cook for Carlisle Nursing Home and Children's Hospital of South Bend. She was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of North Central Indiana, 601 W. Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. For those who are unable to attend the funeral Mass, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
