SOUTH BEND - Lucille Ann (Latosinski) Baraso, 68, of South Bend, IN, died on Monday. She is survived by her husband, Richard J.; daughter, Michelle A. (Randall) Pawlak; sons, Randall R. (Leslie) Baraso; Robert A. (Jacqueline) Baraso; and a brother, Thomas (Carol) Latosinski. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in South Bend.

SOUTH BEND - Lucille Ann Baraso, 68, of South Bend, IN, died at 1:51 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2010, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. She was born on January 12, 1942, to the late John and Hildagarde (Kruszewski) Latosinski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, one brother, Ronald Latosinski, also preceded her in death. Lucille was a graduate of St. Adalbert Grade School and Washington High School. Mrs. Baraso retired in 1999 from Indiana University South Bend, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Continuing Education Department for 20 years. Following retirement, Lucille worked at the University of Notre Dame Burke Golf Course for 10 years. On April 27, 1963, as Lucille Ann Latosinski, she married Richard J. Baraso at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard J. Baraso of South Bend, IN; daughter, Michele A. (Randall) Pawlak of South Bend, IN; sons, Randall R. (Leslie) Baraso of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Robert A. (Jacqueline) Baraso of Plainfield, IN; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Kristin, Hope and Sean Pawlak, Skylar and Sage Baraso, Sydney and Sophia Baraso; and a brother, Thomas (Carol) Latosinski of New Carlisle, IN. Mrs. Baraso was a member of St. Casimir Parish. She played golf in the Z.B. Falcons Golf League and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lucille also enjoyed casino gaming. Lucille's family would like to thank the nurses and doctors on the 3rd and 6th floor at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN, for their support and care provided to Lucille during her illness. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2010, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in South Bend. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church, 2505 W. Grace Street, South Bend, IN 46619.
