Natalie E. Tripp, 89, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. She was born on June 15, 1930 to the late Stephan Sr. and Bertha (Buysse) Barzo in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Schaut; Marie Spicher; and her brother, Stephan “Steve” Barzo Jr. Natalie graduated in 1948 from South Bend Central High School. She assisted her husband in the family business, Tripp’s Locksmith Service, where she was the C.E.O. and C.F.O. for many years. On June 30, 1948, as Natalie E. Barzo, she married LaVerne W. Tripp in South Bend, IN. He passed away on January 25, 2003. Natalie is survived by her son, Andrew A. (Gayle) Tripp of Mishawaka, IN; daughter, Mary E. Saunders of New Carlisle, IN; two grandchildren, Dustin (Heather) Saunders; Jason (Sarah) Tripp; eleven great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Haley, Alexander, William, Wyatt, Joseph, and Lauren Saunders; and Carter, Declan, and Bodie Tripp. Natalie was a longtime member of Holy Cross Parish. She enjoyed crocheting and reading books authored by John Grisham. Natalie was a lifelong Chicago Cubs Fan, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation or services.
