Ivo Hrvat, 59, residing in Mishawaka, IN; passed away Monday evening, August 13, 2018 due to a water accident. He was born April 8, 1959 in Bosnia Hercegovina, to the late Franjo & Ivanka (Komljenovic) Hrvat, and has lived in this area since 1997, coming from Bosnia, Hercegovina. Ivo worked as a Landscaper, and most recently for Goodwill Industries. He enjoyed doing various jobs for other people, and loved helping others. He was a hard worker, was very friendly, and a best friends to everybody. He was known as a good pool player. He regularly attended mass at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. He is survived by his sisters, Mara (Ivo Dobric) Hrvat, and Veronika (Bozo) Tozan, both of South Bend; his brothers, Josip and Marko Hrvat, also of South Bend; three nieces, Snjezana, Ivana, and Dragana, three nephews, Drazen, Davor Tozan, and Davor Dobric, and his girlfriend, Milica Lazic of Mishawaka, IN. He is also survived by extended family in Bosnia as well as many friends in South Bend and Mishawaka. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 -2:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan St., South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.Contributions in memory of Mr. Hrvat may be offered to the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
