KOONTZ LAKE - Ronald Bocian, 77, died January 9, 2019. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. CST at St. Dominic Church, Koontz Lake with visitation at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Ronald Jerald Bocian, 77, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Center for Hospice, South Bend, IN. Ronald was born April 25, 1941 in Chicago to Michael G. and Bernice C. (Michalik) Bocian and lived at Koontz Lake for 22 years, coming from Lansing, IL. He was a steel worker and retired from Republic Engineered Steel in Chicago. He was a member of St. Dominic’s Church of Koontz Lake, St. Patrick Church of Walkerton, the Koontz Lake Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus. On May 1, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV he was married to Wendy Bocian. He was a loving husband, a great father and a fun-loving grandfather and great-grandfather. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. CST at St. Dominic’s Church of Koontz Lake. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, January 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Rannells Funeral Home Koontz Lake Chapel is handling arrangements.
