Albert Otto Marialke of Saginaw went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 92 years. He was born on August 22, 1924, son of the late Carl and Bertha (Lesche) Marialke, in South Bend, Indiana. Albert married Betty Turnage on May 12, 2003, she survives him. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a graduate of Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Albert was ordained in 1951 at Flint Riverside Tabernacle. He served as Pastor, Presbyter, Chaplain, Trustee and Representative for many churches in Michigan. Albert also served as Captain in the Civil Air Patrol Chaplaincy Program in Allegan. He also had been associated with Teen Challenge in the Saginaw, Detroit and Muskegon areas for many years. Albert began his pastoral ministry by establishing Allegan Assembly of God and later served as Associate Pastor at Saginaw First Assembly of God. During his retirement years, he continued his love for reading and studying the Bible and teaching at Teen Challenge, Saginaw. He often quoted his favorite scripture to anyone he spoke with, Numbers 6:24,25 "The Lord bless you and keep you and make his face shine upon you." "The Lord Jesus come quickly" was always his way of saying farewell.
Besides his loving wife, Betty, he is survived by His children, David (Patrice) Marialke of Summerville, SC, Cynde (Dale) Fick of Anchorage, AK, Jonathan (Laura) Marialke of Holland, and Rebecca (Jerry) Riemersa of Grand Haven; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his sister, Frieda Shabaz of South Bend, IN; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Elsie Marialke.
Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Saginaw First Assembly of God, 4570 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Cal Garcia will officiate with burial in Union Corners Cemetery in Troy. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
