MISHAWAKA, IN - Yvonne A. Lievens, 92, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at The Hearth in Greenwood, IN. Yvonne was born on August 4, 1926 in Mishawaka to Alphons and Maria (De Block) Nauts. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Gaut. On November 25, 1948 at St. Bavo Catholic Church, Yvonne Ann Nauts married Raymond George Lievens, who preceded her in death on October 17, 2016. Surviving Yvonne are son, Stephen (Thelma) Lievens of Indianapolis; and daughters, Lynda (Bryan) Sholly of El Paso, TX and Cynthia (Thomas) Thompson of Mesa, AZ. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Zack (Amy) Lievens, Preston Lievens, Andrea (Josh) Bevil, Cortney (Jason) Lamb, Whitney Sholly (Jack Hightshoe), Erin (Chris) Severns, Jessica (Pat) Snyder, and Staycie Lievens; as well as six great-grandchildren: Alexandria and Matthew Bevil; Katelyn Mairona, Cooper, and Henry Lievens; and Piper Severns. She is also survived by her brother, Henry “Hank” (Mary) Nauts of Fort Wayne, IN. Yvonne was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church and the BK Club Ladies Auxiliary. For many years she worked in the kitchen at Marian High School. In retirement she and Ray enjoyed sports and traveling, making wonderful memories. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, December 20 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 21 at St. Bavo Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
