INDEX

[N32563] Donald J. Winski, Jr.
May 9, 1967 - June 24, 2022

Donald J. Winski, Jr. passed away on June 24, 2022 from aspiration pneumonia triggered by COVID. He was fifty-five. His sisters, Pamela Merseal and Debbie Belcher, came from Texas and Florida respectively to be at his side during his time of anguish until his peaceful passing. For the past nineteen years Donald lived in a beautiful medically fragile group home run by the caring and capable staff of Benchmark Human Resources. As guardians for the past thirty-six years, Logan’s Protective Services watched over Don. Those of us who loved him will particularly miss his seemingly knowing gaze, his brilliant smile, and the active way he held hands-intertwining fingers, then just touching fingertips, grasping, releasing, then starting all over again. Donald was proceeded in death by his parents, Diane Brown and Donald Winski Sr. and his sister, Dorothy Stewart. His surviving siblings are Wayne Winski, Donna Sharlach, Debbie Belcher, Barbie McGagan and Pamela Merseal. McGann/Hay Funeral Home is helping with arrangements. Don’s ashes will be placed alongside his mother’s. Private memorial services have been arranged.
