BRISTOL - Don Cukrowicz DO, 64, of Bristol, formerly of South Bend, died at 2:47 am on Monday, May 6, at IU Health Goshen Hospital, from heart complications. He was born on June 27, 1948 in Mishawaka, to Stan and Mary (Hoerstman) Cukrowicz. On February 18, 2012 in Middlebury he married Mary (Wengerd) Coblentz; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are seven children, Jennifer (Dave) LaMar of King, NC, Amy (Wally) Freemon of Kernersville, NC, Montana (Kyle) Wojtys of South Bend, Dakota (Tyler) Haines of South Bend, Ashley Coblentz and Zachary Cukrowicz both of Bristol, & Karla Coblentz of South Bend; five grandchildren; and a sister, Cathy Stachowiak of Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Austin Melton. He was an optometrist working at Eyecare Express in South Bend. He was an avid body builder and loved spending time with his family. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, May 8, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Thurs., May 9, at River of Life Fellowship Church, 11162 State Rd. 120, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Rev. Rick Lambright. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, IN. Memorials may be given to St. Vincent De Paul Society, South Bend. Online condolences at millerstewartfuneralhome.com.
