NEW CARLISLE - A. Paul (Ziolkowski) Zell, 60, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, in the Saint Joseph Regional Med Center. Paul was born on April 30, 1947, in South Bend, to Alexander and Irene (Bokon) Ziolkowski. He was a self-employed accountant who had previously been employed by the Indiana Department of Revenue. Paul played the drums in bands in the South Bend - Michigan City area. He also would show and ride horses in the county and state fairs when he was young. On April 29, 1972, he married the former Janice Janowczyk, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Irene Ziolkowski of South Bend; two sisters, Linda (Donald) Botka of Brighton, MI, and Deborah (Ziolkowski) Zell of Dallas, TX; a brother, Dennis (Ziolkowski) Zell of South Bend; a niece, Kimberly Zell-Kneubuhler; three nephews, Michael Botka, Justin Zell and Aaron Zell; two great-nieces, Taylor Kneubuhler and Brooke Kneubuhler; and a brother-in-law, Charles (Jean) Janowczyk of New Carlisle. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Ziolkowski, who died on February 22, 2002. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
