Karen Lee Beatty, 47, of Mishawaka passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born September 1, 1972 in South Bend to the late James Michael Roper and Vickie (Gulatta) Roper, who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Ashley Beatty; sons, Kevin “Michael” (Angel Smith) Smarr and Kyle (Hannah McKinney) Beatty; grandchildren, Conner, Abel and Ella; sister, Teresa Roper; and special friend “Toot” Wynn. In addition to her father, Karen is preceded in death by her brother, Joey Roper. Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, coloring, bedazzling and planning get togethers for her loved ones. A memorial service for Karen will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 3 PM at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
