Agnes H. Grabarek, 86, of Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, passed away, Friday, April 21, 2006, in the nursing home. Agnes was born on June 8, 1919, in South Bend to Alex and Elizabeth (Varga) Molnar. She was a lifetime resident of South Bend and was a homemaker. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed making Polish and Hungarian dishes for her family. On July 13, 1940, Agnes married John K. Grabarek, who preceded her in death on January 30, 1984.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda (Ronald) Otolski of Mishawaka, Indiana; sons, Thomas (Judy) Grabarek of South Bend, Frank (Mel) Grabarek of Mishawaka, Donald (Mary Ann) Grabarek of South Bend, Bill (Jackie) Grabarek of North Liberty, and daughter-in-law Janet Grabarek of Granger; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and brothers, William (Alex) Gorbitz of South Bend & Stephen (Vicky) Gorbitz of Granger, Indiana. She is remembered fondly by her dear friends Margaret Lichnerowicz and Jean Molnar. A sister, Betty Nemeth and a brother, Joseph Molnar both preceded her in death.
Services were entrusted to Kaniewski Funeral Home of South Bend, Indiana.
