MISHAWAKA - Donnabelle G. Wegner, 95, a lifelong Mishawaka resident, passed away at 12:40 pm on Saturday, June 1st, 2013, at Fountainview Place, Mishawaka. Donnabelle was born in South Bend, Indiana, on September 23, 1917, to James and Ella (Anderson) Ameigh, who preceded her in death. On July 7, 1934, in Wabash County, Indiana, she married Fred Wegner, who died April 5, 1978. She is survived by her children, Robert (Suki) Wegner of Mishawaka, Virginia (Butch) Chamness of South Bend, Barbara Friedman of Mishawaka and Norma Draves of Bloomington, Indiana. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters. Donnabelle loved the Wonder Inn Ball Games, Notre Dame football and spending time with her family. She worked for many years for F.W. Means Co. and also B and B Frozen Foods until her retirement. In respect to Donnabelle's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Fred, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Hospice Foundation in Donnabelle's memory. Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
