SOUTH BEND- Stanley J. Kubisiak, 81, of Fox Street, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday in Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Kubisiak retired from the Indiana State Highway Department. He was born Aug. 10, 1914 in South Bend. On June 29, 1968, in South Bend, he married Marjorie Turpin. She survives with four stepdaughters, Rhonda Deitch of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mary Kottke of Watseka, Ill., Sandy Steede of Covina, Calif., and Kris Ray of South Bend; two stepsons, jack Turpin of farmer City, Ill., and Kevin Kimble of Granger; 14 step grandchildren; 14 step greatgrandchildren; and a brother Edmund of South Bend. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, West Side Democratic Club, was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to any charity.
