SOUTH BEND - Judith Kay Batalis, 74, passed away June 12, 2018 at South Bend Hospice House. She was born October 9, 1943 in Mishawaka, IN, to John & Lorraine (Kopetski) Nagy. On October 5, 1969 in South Bend, she married Chris Batalis; he survives along with three children, Kimberly (Curtis) Ridenour, Kevin (Imogene) Kruszewski, and Stacey Batalis; and one stepdaughter, Chrissi Goddard-Swett. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings, John (Joyce) Nagy and Janet (Nick) Kollar. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Sean Batalis. Judith was a homemaker for most of her life but also worked at a dog kennel which she enjoyed very much. In her spare time she enjoyed walking and sewing. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Kevin's house. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to the St. Joseph County Hospice House.
