MISHAWAKA - Raymond DeMeyer Sr., 78, of East Borley Avenue, died at 3:25 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness. Mr. DeMeyer retired as a construction foreman. He was born March 19, 1915, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident. On May 23, 1936, in Mishawaka, he married Mary Kedik. She survives, with two daughters, Rosetta Rose and Rosella Bentley, both of Mishawaka; two sons, Bob and Raymond D. Jr., both of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church and a volunteer at Battell Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Battell Center.
