SOUTH BEND - Tillie Kazmierczak, 95, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014, in the Hospice House. Tillie was born August 1, 1918, in South Bend, to the late Andrew and Mary (Niemier) Kazmierczak. Tillie was also preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Wentland, Marie Nagy, Rita Kazmierczak, and twin sisters, Catherine Stepanek and Lucille Boudreau; brothers, Peter, Carl and Leonard Kazmierczak. Survivors include sister-in-law, Dorothy Kazmierczak of South Bend; nephew, Joseph Kazmierczak, and many other nieces and nephews. Tillie retired from JC Penney after 35 years of service. She was a devoted employee at JC Penny and worked her way from a shelf stocker to the Personnel Manager. Tillie was an active parishioner of St. Casimir's Catholic Church, the Rosary Sodality and Seniors Club. Visitation for Tillie will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Friday, February 14, 2014, in the Sanctuary of St. Paul's, 3602 S. Ironwood Drive, where a Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
