Donna L. Redding, 64 years old, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Cardinal Nursing Home in South Bend. Donna was born February 4, 1957 in South Bend, IN to the late Francis and Lillian (Robichaud) Gildea. Donna worked as an Administrative Assistant for AM General. She attended St. Pius X Catholic Church where she attended prayer group. She also attended Christ the King Catholic Church and St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Donna traveled around the world and especially enjoyed Egypt and Germany. She lived in Nashville, TN for 7 years and that was her favorite place to live. Donna is survived by her daughter Chantel Casto of Niles; two grandchildren, Siara and Aaron Casto, her sister Cleta Gildea of Elkhart, and her brother, Edward Gildea of Augusta, GA. Along with her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her siblings, Francis Babinski, Diana Sharpe, and Robert Gildea Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Saturday, January 8, 2021 at St Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Rd. South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family that day from 10:30am-11:45pm at Palmer Funeral Home - Welsheimer North Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Rd. South Bend, IN. There will be a small funeral service starting at 11:45pm at the funeral home before processing to St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church for Mass. Burial with graveside service will take place at Highland Cemetery. The family is requesting for everyone to wear masks during the visitation and services.
