South Bend - Ronald F. Kloska, 75, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at his home. Ron was born October 24, 1933, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, son of Frank and Catherine Kloska. He married Mary Minick on September 7, 1957. She survives along with his five adoring children, Kathleen (Warren) Diltz of South Bend, Elizabeth (Kevin) Kearney of Granger, Ronald (Anne) Kloska of Fort Wright, KY, Mary Jo (Richard) Thomas of Charlton, MA, and Carrie (Matt) Parr of London, England. He was a devoted grandfather to 24 grandchildren, Andrew, Mary Kate, Sarah and Joey Diltz; Jack, Mary, Austin, Maddie, Erin, Ryan and Maeve Kearney; Ronnie, Ali, Katie and Matt Kloska; Meghan, Ben, Anna and Colleen Thomas; and Beatrice, Luke, Wyatt and Finnegan Parr. He is survived by his four younger siblings, Norbert (Barb) Kloska, Irvin (Bonnie) Kloska, Marie (Mike) Wisinski, and Frank (Marge) Kloska. He is also survived by 30 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his eldest grandson, Kevin Kearney, Jr. He graduated from University of Montreal in 1955 with a Bachelors in Philosophy. He received an MBA from the University of Michigan in 1957. A certified public accountant, he was an executive at Skyline Corporation for 32 years, as Chief Financial Officer, Director, and Chief Executive Officer, prior to retiring in September 2001 where he continued on as a member of the Board of Directors. He also served three years as an officer in the U.S. Army Finance Corp. He served on the Board of The Stanley Clark School for many years. He was a member of South Bend Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He was a loving and devoted husband, a proud and supportive father and an adoring, doting grandfather. His optimism, sensibility and candor will be sorely missed. His enthusiasm for life was contagious. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20 from 2 - 8 p.m. at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Cathedral, 1701 Miami Street, South Bend.
