Wife of John Boocher (1843-1940). Mother of ten children including: Francis "Frankie," Ida May, William, Etta, Elmer, Myrtle, Bessie, Edna E., Wallace L. and Daniel F. Boocher. Mary was the daughter of Christian Hahn and Harriet (Schultz) Hahn.

Obituary from The Bremen Enquirer, June 28, 1917:
Mrs. John Boocher - Mary Elizabeth Boocher, wife of John Boocher, died Monday of bronchio-pneumonia at the family home, some six miles north east of Bremen, at the age of 59 years. Funeral services were held at ten o'clock this forenoon in Grace U.B. church in Bremen. Interment followed in the Bremen cemetery.
