James Michael "Jimmy" Moskolis

Sept. 28, 1946 - March 6, 2012 GRANGER - James Michael "Jimmy" Moskolis, 65, of Granger, died unexpectedly at 12:39 a.m. Tuesday, March 6th, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Jimmy was born September 28, 1946, in South Bend, to Anna (Gounaris) and the late Mike D. Moskolis, and was a lifetime area resident. On May 27, 1972, in South Bend, he married Susan Hall, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Alysia Moskolis of Redondo Beach, CA; two sons, Nathaniel M. Moskolis and Gabriel J. Moskolis, both of Granger; his mother, Anna Moskolis of South Bend; his sister, Kathy St. John of Granger; his brother, Sam C. Moskolis of South Bend; and a special uncle, James Zeinis of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike, in 1965, and a daughter, Amelia, in 1984. Jimmy was a salesman for Indiana Wholesale Liquors in South Bend. He was a friend to everyone he met. He lived each day totally committed to his family. He was a graduate of Riley High School and Indiana University, Bloomington, and was a member of St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church. Our hearts are broken by the sudden loss of our dad. We are so grateful for the years we spent with him and will carry his smile with us each day. Thank you for being such an amazing dad. We love you, miss you so much. Love, Nathaniel, Alysia and Gabriel. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 9th, in St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 52455 Ironwood Road, with Rev. George D. Konstantopoulos officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. today, March 8th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where a Trisagion Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
