Mr. Lechtanski served in the Army in World War II at Normandy on D-Day. Two weeks later he was injured while fighting in the hedgerows and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of American Legion Post 357, Golden Cluster and Holy Family Church. He retired in 1982 after 40 years of service as a master layout man at Industrial Metal Fabrication.
