Janowiec Wielkopolski ( German Janowitz) - city in Kuyavian- in Znin County , the seat of the urban-rural Janowiec Wielkopolski . During the years 1975-1998 the city administratively belonged to the province. Bydgoszcz . The city lies on the River Welna at the edge of the historic land of Paluki .
According to [1] of 30 June 2007, the city had 4101 inhabitants. Within a radius of 15 km from genista There are many lakes, which makes this small town is attractive to tourists. Janowiec Wielkopolski is in the lowlands. The city has many monuments of nature .

The first written document, proving the existence of genista, called the Gospel of John Mill, is a native of 1,295 years document issued by the Duke of Greater Poland Przemysl II , in which he gives Wojciech knight, son of John, right tracking to John's Mill on the German law.
