Sally M. Orr, 87, of South Bend, passed away at 1:18 a.m. Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Memorial Hospital. Sally was born to the late Wenzel and Julia (Michalski) Ikert on April 26, 1935 in LaCrosse, WI. On April 10, 1954 in LaCrosse, WI., she was united in marriage to Wayne R. Orr who preceded her in death on January 26, 2019. She worked for 16 years in the IT Department of Bendix corporation as a secretary and worked for National Bank as an Assistant Bank Manager. Over the years she enjoyed attending her local garden club. Sally is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Nanette (Donald) Poor of South Bend, along with 8 grandchildren and her many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Lorraine Weber of Fort Myers, FL., and two daughters-in-law, Ann Orr and Bonnie Orr both of South Bend. Along with her husband of 65 years, Wayne, Sally is preceded in death by her sons, Bart Orr and Kurt Orr, grandson; Nathan Orr, and sisters, Betty Lou Rund, and Joyce Bundy.Memorial Services for both Sally and Wayne Orr will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will immediately follow at Southlawn Cemetery.In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to a hospice facility of the donor’s choice.Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
