SOUTH BEND - Margaret M. Gorski, 98, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at West Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Before moving to West Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in 2009, Ms. Gorski resided on Westmoor Street in South Bend for over 75 years. She was born on October 15, 1914 to the late Edmund and Josephine (Kaczmarek) Gorski in South Bend, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident. Margaret graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1933. She worked for Wilson Brothers Shirt Factory of South Bend until it closed in 1975. Margaret retired in 1980 from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN, where she was employed as a cleaning lady at St. Mary's Convent. Ms. Gorski was a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus Parish in South Bend, and a member of the Legion of Mary. Private Funeral Services will be held, with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, IN. Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN is handling services.
