John passed after a brief illness in Spring Hill, FL. March 12, 2023. John was born in Krustpil, Latvia January 30, 1942, son of Andrejs and Milda. The Steinbergs family escaped the Soviet Union Occupied Latvia to the immigrant processing at Ellis Island in America when John was a young boy. They eventually moved on to Omaha Nebraska where John lived with his family and went to school; moving to South Bend, Indiana as a young man. John had multiple hospitality businesses until he worked at Gurly Leep Automotive, escalating in sales year after year from 1995 to 2012. He was Regional Manager at Forest River, Inc until he retired and moved to Spring Hill Florida in 2015.John loved and was devoted to his family. He would always do whatever he could to hearten their lives. He was encouraging and very supportive with help to achieve the best outcomes for everyone. He was patient with all of his family which is the softest form of love. He was a good friend and sometimes saw people as diamonds in the rough, but always wanted to help and encourage their best endeavors. John and his family could often be found weekends on his boat as he loved the comforting water life. He had a love for traveling adventures in and out of the country. He was also a skilled bowler often bowling perfect games. He is in the Bowling Hall of Fame as a result of his faultless games. John passed away in Spring Hill, Florida with his wife Sue at his bedside. He was preceded in death by his parents (Andrejs/Milda), sister (Aina Ozols), brother (Charlie) and Ilah Steinbergs. He leaves behind his wife (Sue Steinbergs), Daughters: Christina Steinbergs, Lisa Steinbergs and Tracy Dee. Grandson: Alex Steinbergs (Cailey), Austen Steinbergs, Granddaughter: Nickkel Vee, Nephews: Rodney Segety, Andrejs Steinbergs, Niece: Ashley Hankin, Judi Ahern, Ingrida Passett, along with grandchildren, great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. John will be missed dearly and loved by his family and friends.
