Francisco Amaro Ruiz, 58, residing in South Bend, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Rivercrest Specialty Hospital, Mishawaka. He was born October 15, 1953, in Brownsville, TX, a son of Ubaldo and Victoria (Armendares) Ruiz, and has lived in the South Bend area most of his life. On October 18, 1971 in Parchment, MI, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Anne (Cannon)Ruiz who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Angel R.D. (Brian) Cencelewski and Kimberely S. Ruiz both of South Bend, grandchildren, Domenico F. R. and Gabriella E.A. Macri, father, Ubaldo Ruiz of Dowagiac, MI, and numerous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mr. Ruiz was formerly employed at Notre Dame and a host of commercial cleaning companies. He enjoyed football, basketball, and was a NASCAR enthusiast. He took pride in caring for his grand dogs and spending time with his family. There will be no visitation or public services. The family will gather privately at a later date.
