South Bend - Peter N. Spiteri, 84, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 1:00am on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Cardinal Nursing Home in South Bend. Peter was born on October 16, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank C. and Santina (Raia) Spiteri. Peter has lived in the South Bend area since he was seven years old. He attended Central St. Joseph High School in South Bend. Peter was the vice president and interior designer for Tepe’s Furniture Store, retiring in October 2004 after 32 years. On May 23, 1964 in Elkhart Indiana, Peter was united in marriage to Lisbeth Anne (Tulley) Spiteri. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lisbeth Anne; daughter, Amanda Spiteri; sons, Vinnie Spiteri and Andy Spiteri, both of South Bend. Peter also has two granddaughters, Santina Lengacher and Faith Spiteri, as well as his brother Robert J Spiteri of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Peter’s sister, Antionette Klopfenstein, preceded him in death. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2120 Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2:00pm, with a one-hour visitation prior to service. Interment of ashes will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, June 21 at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN. Palmer Funeral Home - River Park is assisting the family with the arrangements.
