GEORGE VAN BRUAENE
Services for George Van Bruaene, 61, who died about 12:15 a.m. Friday at home, will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Bavo's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Hahn's-DeVos Funeral Home. A wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Mr. Van Bruaene was born April 16, 1923, in South Bend and lived in this area all his life. On Jan. 15, 1948 in South Bend, he married Jean VandenBossche. She died in 1962. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra J. Van Bruaene of South Bend; a grandson; and a sister, Martha Kowalski of Mishawaka. He retired from NIPSCO in 1983 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the BK Club, the DeAmiels Club, VFW Post 360 and Moose Lodge 449. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps.
