SOUTH BEND, IN - Martha Agnes (Buwa) Kosinski passed away peacefully on March 11 in “the home that dad built.” Marty was a loving wife of 60 years to husband Alfred, who preceded her in death in 2011. A west-sider for life, Marty was a dear mother to five children, 17 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandkids. Born December 5, 1925 in Winamac, Indiana, Marty went to Central HS, met Al at Bendix - where they both worked after Al's service in WWII - and they were married in 1950. Marty was a part-time breadwinner but a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed her grandkids, bingo, polka, chili, euchre, and all sports (especially Notre Dame and the Cubs). She is survived by children, Gary (Janet), Terry (Marjorie), Randy (Sandy), Sherry (Robert), and Rick (Tracy). Burial will be next to her soulmate Al at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend. Viewing will be at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 Mayflower Rd., South Bend on Wednesday, March 17 from 4:00-8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in New Carlisle on Thursday, March 18 at 11:00AM followed by interment at St Joseph Cemetery.
