South Bend - Diane M. Rerick, 63, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family after her courageous battle with cancer. Diane was born December 30, 1954 in South Bend, to the late Paul & Rosemary (Wozniak) Kozak. On October 11, 1975 in Our Lady of Hungary Church Diane married the love of her life Joe Rerick, he survives along with their children, Nathan Rerick, and Melissa (Tony) Schelske; granddaughters, Brooklynn & Bristol Schelske; sisters , Sharon Barrett, and Lisa (DJ) Hanback; and brother, Gregory Kozak. Diane was a member of the Crumstown Conservation Club. She loved to cook, feed people, and spend time at parties or gatherings with family and friends. Diane also enjoyed camping, motorcycle events, and gardening. Her family meant everything to her. She loved family gatherings and playing with her granddaughters. Diane was a very strong, kind, and generous person who always thought of everyone else. She kept very busy helping or doing for others. Diane loved animals, especially her dog, Vinnie, who never left her side. An angel with a huge heart has gone to heaven; her impression on those she touched here will be cherished forever. Visitation for Diane will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm Saturday, July 21, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Funeral Ceremony to begin at 3:00pm in the Funeral Chapel.
