South Bend - Mary J. 'Mitzi' Kolber Bahrke, 83, passed away at 6:26am on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in Memorial Hospital. Mary was born on December 5, 1926 in South Bend, to the late John and Victoria (Grochowski) Cichocki. She was also preceded in death by her former husbands, Everett Bahrke and Ted Kolber; son, Mark Kolber; sister, Lillian Ciesiolka; and brother, Bob Cichocki. Mary is survived by her daughter, Jan (Larry) Lekarczyk; son, Kevin (Deb) Kolber all of South Bend; grandchildren, Craig and Danny Lekarczyk, Nick and Kory Kolber; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Sydnee, and Lindsay Lekarczyk. Mary enjoyed old TV shows, game shows and was a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show. She was in a bowling league in her younger years. She ran the coffee shop at the airport for 10 years in the 1970's. Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 26, 2010 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, August 27, 2010 in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.Memorial Contributions may be made to the Millers Merry Manor, 220 E. Dunn Rd., New Carlisle, IN 46552.
